Hi guys,

Ik have a question about the news update you get with the patrol orders at the beginning of a mission. Since i have been playing my most recent patrol in 1942 (started in 1-1-1942) i always get the war update from september 1939. Anyone has a clue what is wrong?

Did you start through SH3 Commander, you should a new patrol with it everytime, in fact you should roolback when you exit.

Yes i start Sh3 everytime with Commander. But do i need to rollback every time when i close Sh3? And after every patrol i need to go back to windows en restart Commander?

Generally, No. However, to try & fix your problem, I would suggest finishing a patrol, exit SH3, Rollback Sh3Cmdr & then Restart via SH3Cmdr. See if this fixes your problem.

Now, I'm not sure about this point - If you leave on patrol on the 30th August (for example) you will have the news report for July. If you return from patrol in September and start a new patrol (without exiting SH3) straightaway then you will still have the news for July. To combat this you need to exit & restart via Cmdr.

I have noticed this when I'm Skin testing. Example - My career is in 1940 (news reports are fine), I then start a new career in 1945 with the boat I'm testing and I still have the news reports from 1940. (do not follow my example by not rolling back SH3Cmdr, kiddies.;) Some of us pretend we know what we're doing:rotfl:)

That looks a little bit like my problem. I always get news form september 39 while i started my campaign in 1942. But i will try this tactic asap and hopefully it works.
