Hi all,

I was wondering if it could be possible to have a different lighthouse strobe instead of the stock one that does not light up the immediate vicinity.

If you're close to a light house it should light up your boat, which it doesn't at the moment.

IMHO I think it would be nice to add a sort of rotating leigh light in the lighthouses as they were installed on the ships.

Anyone have an idea on how to do this ? or does anyone consider this worth doing ? I am using GWX.

Would it be possible to make a new light house model using an animated rotating searchlight?

Bah, everything in the game needs to be dynamic lighting sources, from windows to lanterns. Except it'd probably produce one Heck of a load of lag.

Would it produce that much lag ? dunno, were not talking about 50 lighthouses at the same time here. were talking about 3-4 lighthouses at one time here.

Furhtermore the leigh light could be inside the lighthouse 3d model, as the 'beam' goes through solid objects as you know.

Now, is this feasible or is this a lot of work to get this show on the road?

thx for any feedback

Wou7ld love to see the light houses actually light something, and for that matter why cant the moon be made to be a light source so on a moonlit night, your boat, or your victims are actually lit by the moon light. could make things a bit more realistic, and you could have a moon light walk withthe nurses when you return to base.

We want moonlight

You are such a romantic, Rascal..

But that would be cool, to have the moonligh a bit brighter. I dunno if the DD's will spot you more easily of the moon is up, but that might be to complicated to mod in the game..

It is possible to change frequency of a blinking and force of a luminescence.

Where is it changeable ? and what do you mean by frequency ?

Does this mean you can have the lights rotate in a certain pattern like real lighthouses, which then actually could be used for navigation like in real life ?
