Having read page 15 of the GWX manuel, i still do not completely understand how to load the additional late war sensors features. Where to locate this file ? Somewhere i read that if i have the rotating radar antenna" i do" not to get the FuMB-29 Bali as the antenna is "fixed" & will interfere creating a lockup to the game & wait until the next series in radar is offered. Can anyone comfirm this ? Also let me know in a step by step method tell me how to Enable/ install the additional GWX "late war sensors"- Snorkel RWR Antenna's.

Hi,

after you install GWX the Late War Sensor Mod is in the Mod folder at youre Silen Hunter 3 install directory, start the JSGME mod enabler and then you will get a list with mods that are inside the mode folder, now click on it and install it.

Greetings

Gabriel

P.S. Sorry for my english (maybe is should add that to signature) ;)

The rotating radar antenna that is included in GWX has no problems with any radars position, the problems which you refer to maybe caused when someone applyied Anvart's rotating DF antenna, as we (GWX) uses a totally different approach as his it may cause radars being misplaced (I can't be certain because I didn't test his files).
I'm implementing now the DF rotation on GWX files and will be released in the jan update.

Ref,

Regarding the "late war sensors" in GWX, I have seen that if you use a Type XXI U-boat in 1945 in career, the RWR atop the snorkel is automatically included as it should. Excellent !!!

However, if you use a Type XXI U-boat in 1945 in a single mission, the RWR atop the snorkel is NOT included... Please, check it. Is it possible to solve this problem including also the RWR atop the snorkel in the Type XXI, in the single missions that take place in 1945??

Hi,

i have installed the late war sensors and on the XXI the Fumo351 @snorkel works in single mission and when you start career, you need always use 1945, you get the fumo351 at september 1945.

Gabriel,

In the GWX manual (pag 19), you can read the following about the RWR atop the snorkel for the Type XXI U-boat (in 1945):

FuMB-37 Leros: Installing this system requires no player action – this happens automatically.

So, in principle, you don't have to install the late war sensors to have the RWR atop the snorkel for the Type XXI (in 1945). You have to install the late war sensors only if you are dealing with the Type VII and IX U-boats !!!

Am I right??

Yes.
But you have 3 (FuMO30, FuMO61 and FuMO64) "blind" radars now.
I think.
:hmm:

Hi!

You are correct. The RWR atop the schnorchel of the Type XXI U-boat is installed automatically as part of GWX. No further action is required. I will update the manual to clarify this.

I have been testing the radars in GWX, and I also have the feeling that my radioman reports very few radar contacts. (tested, for example, in 1945, in port, and during the night). However I receive quite a lot of reports on radar signals detected, and they are properly indicated in the map with black lines.

I'm looking at the subject, however because of RL work I don't have time till the weekend to make proper tests, in any case I'm reworking the watch towers to include anvart's raise/lower radars and my own version of the DF antenna, they will be included on the jan update (among other surprises).

Can someone tell me what is blind radar? I only recieve contact information while in port. I am in April 1942. The FUMB-29 stops working as soon as you leave port, there is no antenna even though I roll back SH-3 on the SH3 Commandar & I thought somebody said it did. I did what the GWX manual said in getting my 1st radar however there is no antenna.
