I could be me but I found that installling it in GWX removes all English names and leaves HMS Norfolk as the only one in the cfg file. I magine it does the same with French and German names cfg but didn't look. Also JSGME said anmes cfg was already changed with the GWX update. I've removed HMS Norfolk mod from GWX and all is back as it should be.

It seems that the name cfgs need to be removed from the rar file and the names then be manually put in.

But I could be wrong, and as of late I usually am. LOL ;)

assumably you know how to do that with the copy you have

Any new ship needs to be manually added to the cfg etc., and in most cases manually scripted into the campaign.

Yes remove the names cfg thats in the sea folder and add that to your names.cfg file
Am currently playing with the River Plate now I have a heavy cruiser to do it

A great addition to the game! Cna't wait to add it to the game!

I going to add to the Australian list as well, as a stand in for HMAS Australia, Canberra and Shropshire!

I have no idea, I only know adding ships is not simply dropping something in the JSGME, and thus too hard for me.

lol was only responding to what you did write

Ordinarily merchants and smaller warships are just JSGME usable as there are plenty of generic entries that will pick up the new ships with no additional work
As there are no allied heavy cruisers a bit more work is required

No doubt will be included in the spring update with some proper scripting so you can see it
Yeah I know its a wait but needs damage modelling then scripting also

its not that hard to switch it over to an 8" turret but of course it wouldnt quite be authentic ( I know I can hear myself saying it)

all you need do is open data/sea/(cruiser you wish to change) then open the eqp file in data editor and switch turret links ie 6" double to 8" triple

you dont need to limit yourself except for authenticity an italian AI gun or a brit AI gun will work in place of each other its just hard to switch AI guns for Sub guns is all

It already has 8 inch twin turrets. They are, however, German from the Hipper class and I am guessing Hunter means the British box like turrets.

That would require a new turret build.
