Why is there no scared smiley for thread headlines? I could use one right about now.
OK, so while working on NorOps, I found this in the Scripted Campaign file. My jaw dropped. It looked like a parody of a 1945 Hunter-Killer task force in some "Extremely Difficult SH3 mod" project. The name: Operation Cockpit.http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r292/safe-keeper/cockpit.jpg
Has anyone tried to raid this beast of a task force yet:o?

Back from the raid. Damaged a Battleship and sunk a carrier and got away by being depth charged so that flooding dropped my sub to 503 metres (all this without losing as much as a percent of hull integrity - one sturdy boat:o!). Only catch was that the sub "froze" since it left the game world. Weird as a fundie (http://winace.andkon.com/fundies/).
Oh, and Wooly, that shot of the shells pelting the water is awesome.
Ships heading my way. Made quite a lot of noise on the hydrohpone, yet
my listentohydrophoneman managed to miss them until they were only
about eight clicks away from me.

Locked on targets. Waited until they were at about 0, then fired two straight-
running electric torpedoes and two ladder search pattern-torpedoes.

Battleships and carriers up close and personal.

A marauding ladder search-eel finds a target.

Seconds later, two straight-shooters hit home, crippling
a carrier.

The CV sinks with a BB stopping behind her to avoid a collision. I make my speed one knot, order a 180° turn, and
make for deep waters.

A destroyer starts pinging us, and I crash-dive. The sub takes depth charge hits and sinks to 503 metres, where it
"freezes".

Tally: One Carrier sunk.

2WO: ALAAAARRMMM!!!
Kaleun: What is it, Number Two?
2WO: Don't ask, sir; you don't want to know.
Kaleun: Then what course of action do you recommend?
2WO: Pray, sir, pray.

Is it just me or are all fountains caused by various guns (not talkin about machine guns etc.) are all the same? They seem to have the same size, not matter if the shell hitting the water was a 15cm gun or a 38cm gun. Am I right or do I need to get glasses?

I swear I saw a bloke in a tall white hat and apron throwing cans of stuff at me tooThe DDs of 1944 first fire hedgehogs and commences condemnation to Hell by means of Catholic priest positioned behind Hedgehog launcher, then the crew gathers at the bow and throws cans, used shell casings, rotten food and empty bottles overboard as the destroyer's bow passes over your sub. As the destroyer is above your sub, it fires its K-Guns while the officers, positioned by said guns, pee and spit over the railing. Finally, depth charges are dropped by sailors who simultaneously do a number two over the after railing. Should the sub find itself surfaced, the destroyers will deafen the crew into surrendering by deploying their on-board Elite Bag-Pipe squads.
They truly give you everything they have:o.
Is it just me or are all fountains caused by various guns (not talkin about machine guns etc.) are all the same? I definetely think the BB's main guns cause far bigger splashes than the turrets of destroyers.
