Before I started my current patrol, I did a few upgrades to my typeVIIC (Bergen, August '42).
Like a turbo-charger for the diesels (exhaust-powered version), the best batteries around...and also an anti-sonar coating.
Due to my carefull navigations, I still haven't been under serious sonar-threat.
Not that I don't like that...
But I'm curious about this coating (which you can't see on the uboat's exterior, btw).
Was it still experimental, in those days?
Does it really make a difference?
How does it work in GWX (is it tested?)
