Playing the last GWX patched version on clean SHIII, mediterranean campaign, late sensor snorkel actived: when I'm between close to Lampedusa or Pantelleria and get "radar signal detected", usually a lot of Italian and English ships sink. Maybe a bug or wrong gwx installation? Except this problem, gwx works good for me.

Honestly, what it may be...

In SH3, harbor traffic can do odd things... Docked ships drift even though they are "at anchor" and sometimes sink.

Can you describe the problem more? Are all ships that you see sinking... or just a few of them?

It may not be a sensor problem at all... but just another SH3 problem.:-?

Just a note to all... If you intend to use the late war snorkel sensors in GWX... READ THE MANUAL CAREFULLY!!! ;)

thank you for your answer, Kpt Lehmann, the problem is mainly in Pantelleria Harbor where all the Italian fleet is completely sink without a reason. Sometimes in the middle of the Mediterranean between Sicily and North Africa when the radar signal detection seems to destroy isolated English DD. I'll try to deactivate the late snorkel mod.

The Late War Sensors mod has nothing to do with sunken ships in harbours. A save very close to the harbour *can* do that.

The Late War Sensors additional (not optional) mod should be activated after October 1944, in order for your VII or IX boats to get a roundipol "Bali" Radar Warning Receiver Antenna on top of their snorkel.

You can activate it as soon as a snorkel is available, but it will not be historically accurate to do, before say late summer 1944, where a large namber of "Bali" antennas were installed. If you activate it before a snorkel is available, nothing will happen.

With this mod you can have a very basic radar warning receiver capability while snorkelling. Very useful, late in the war.

Read the GWX manual for installation procedures, and historical references too.

It's the new German 'Death Ray' :rotfl:

Seriously, I doubt that the late war sensors mod is causing this. The problem must lie elsewhere.

The sunk ships in harbour has been explained. The forces in the Med may have been attacked and sunk by either aircraft or subs.:hmm:

Are you using any other mods other than the ones that came with GWX and the update ?

No other mods, I installed SHIII + GWX only

I'll try another mission tonight. Really, I like GWX because the Mediterranean campaign is very interesting and seems historically correct. Late snorkel deactivated, I'm in the middle of the year 1943.

the problem seems resolved deactivating the late snorkel, but I have to try again, yesterday in the evening near Mallorca I had a DD on my head for about about 8 hours, at 260m (!!!), no time to check the supposed bug.

As Von said before the problem has nothing to do with sensors, it's most likelly due to the save problem in sh3, when you save a game within 3d rendering distance (30km) of a scripted unit (all harbour traffic for example) when you reload the saved game all scripted units in the area lose they waypoints and start to do very strange things, when you removed the RWR the problem seems fixed because you can't detect the ships you previously detected with it, so you can't see them with the next unit key.

There not sensors, the lines coming out of your uboat are lasers destroying everything. EVERTHING.
