River ClassFF Sea Trials Screenshots

Students of the Campaign will understand the reason behind this project all though a little overlooked by History the Rivers made an Important contribution to the campaign with an Interesting Genesis A Good war record and a Fascinating History,

They were also the 2nd most numerous commonwealth combatant and as such I feel they have been a little undercovered.

That said, Here are some hair raising screenshots from the seatrials of the beta. She is a good fighting ship and a lot of fun to square of against, at least for me.

Nice Ship BBW Thanks for actually you know making it.
I did all the tonnage and speed adjustments since I got it I have the Beta packaged up for JSGME in 7z form now, Read to go. MM.

I do agree they are Pithy fighters but BBW deserves all the credit.
I found it very difficult to take out the weapons at Knife fighting range
but I dont know if its the damage model or GWX which I just loaded the
first time as ship isnt part of GWX I think its Damage model I only got
hits with the 37mm all 105 MM were near miss forward turret caught fire
and it got worse as we danced but couldnt get it to blow:arrgh!:

In the days of SH2 I did some modding with the FF (frontfrotille) team, where I added a precise stadimeter to the persicope overlay, but these days are long gone. No I'm not a modder. What I meant MM is that they (at GWX) will need to roll out a patch soon to include your ClassFF in their campaign, uuuh... I mean if they feel like it:oops:

Would be a great addition to the fleet.

And no, my dear friend, you are not or have not been a thorn in my side at all.

I think all contributions should be honoured! There are alot of folks out there that just grab the latest downloads without even saying thanx. And everybody that contributes to SHIIII have earned respect IMHO.
@ Mush: The important thing is to credit the maker, even if you only do small things on the mods. You did that, and thats all that matters, mate! :up::up:

the IX/XI on the surface, I have no Idea what the submerged speed of an Imperial star destroyer would be!)

It started out as something I did before I discovered subsim. I didnt even know there were mods out there so it isnt quite in the form of a downloadable mod yet but I am currently working on it, along with a few other things including the River Class here which is a High Priority Historical Correction for me. MM.

You know surface combats a total blast you purists should ALL let your hairdown once
and load up the Led Zepplin in the Gramaphone and have a go at it, real good stress relief to take on three or four hundred aircraft and a half dozen ships. (especially gratifying to sink second escort group)

If you do it this way you will get notified to every post you make.

Goto UserCP and select List Subscriptions, then find your thread and put a tick in the box on the right. At the bottom of the page there is a drop down box (Selected Subscriptions) choose your notification method and click OK.

Once its done with damage moddelling there will still be visual differences as exhibited by pics 3(photo) 4 & 5(paintshop)

Will Still need to..............

-add a 2nd searchlight and move them to the tops
-add in a man basket either side atop the bridge to move them to
-delete large deckhouse they are on or leavit an place bandstands over it
-move lifestations slightly.(forward one at least)
-and although I doubt it correct radar to mast mounted type 271
-finally raise bridgewings and correct ladders from 2nd deck.
-add in small deckhouse w/loop antenna between forward turret and bridge
-and since Im making a wish list here a Bridge Crew

In a Perfect World anyway but all the skills necesary to do it I still have to learn.
