Hi Bill,

Played it and enjoyed it.

Now I hope this isn't a spoiler but heading to a patrol area at 20 knots, is that what it is in the book?

I didn't want this 'teaser' scenario to last too long ;)
In any case, both in the book and the movie, Red October was heading to an exercise area, she was not going on a ballistic missile patrol.

Really nice  I don't want to put spoilers here, but this really satisfy me like no mission I remember in a long time.

I'm really looking forward next mission. I suggest keep them simple. Few platforms. Smart design is more important and you know how to do it.

Anyway, even this mission really takes the DW engine to the edge. Limited controls of AI platforms, impossibility to change their output noise (so no real caterpillar) and so on. I'm really curious how are you going to make it.

I've also experimented with DSRV and it's doctrine just sux. It calls for total replacement (which would need DB change too since DSRV has no sensor for acquiring target's depth).

But the sound files are cool (if little whistling). I suggest simulating underwater telephone with messages and sound files in respect missions.

Dr. Sid,
I'm very glad for the positive feedback, and I'm still scratching my head on how best to do the follow-on missions
