"Irony, it's like goldy or bronzey, just made of iron."

Sorry, but when you get an excuse to slip in a Balderick quote you just gotta take it ya know? :D

Long story.
Worst thing is that rather than being deleted, this'll probably end up in the General Forum, where it'll develop into a 2000 posts long forum monster of a spam thread.

Does'nt Spam come in a can?

It does that and it taste great when fried. Old British Army rations had it as well (not todays foil packed imported American rations) .

This leads me onto the hijack thread mode which is:-

Why do the Americans always get better rations than the British and then why do Americans pay way over the Odds for British Army gear?.

I bet it is Ironic

Because American troops get really cranky when they don't have good rations whilst the Brits have that whole stiff upper lip thing going. But God help you if you try to take away their tea ration...

As for the gear thing the only experiences I know about that was for a long time your boots were way better than ours, one of my friends also swore by the pullover sweaters the Brits were issued too. He was a little peculiar...then again so was I, I paid through the nose for a pair of IDF boots. :arrgh!:
