Hi.
I just installed Sub Command from the new "naval combat pack". I also installed SCXII/SCXIIC/SCU. I don't hear any voices on the SCU drivables. When installing it said I need v. 1.07 or 1.08 to make it work. The version from "naval combat pack" is 1.08.
1. So why can't I hear voices on the SCU platforms????
2. Has anybody else encountered this?
3. Is there a fix?
:hmm:
I think that you may have installed them out of order. You should not have to install SCU if you install SCXIIc or later.Follow the instructions carefully in the read me files.

Thanks Linton. I went through the readme's pretty quick. I probably missed that somewhere in my haste to get that 688 FLT II underway. :88)
I'll probably try another clean install from the beginning.
Cheers.

Wait a second. Am I reading you correctly? Once I install SCXII then SCXIIc, and run the install.bat/graphics.bat or whatever with each, I then DO NOT have to install SCU?
I can just run the SCPlayablesubchanger icon and load whatever I want? SCXIIc automatically loads this for you? Is that correct? :-?

Yes. Effectively SCU is part of SCXII.
Clive is correct.I have made this mistake myself. The SCxIIc does include everything. The final tweak can be obtained from Ramius site and is an esm fix.Make sure you give Bill a visit to download some of the many missions.
Happy Christmas Clive, when are we going to see a few more of your missions?
I'd be quick on getting any files from my site if i where you
Due to an upcomming ISP move (and house) then some of the files may go offline until I can re-upload them to a new space.
I haven't checked but I think Bill hosts the mods as well.

Hi guys. I tried a re-install. And followed the SCXII/SCXIIc/SCU instructions to the letter. I ran the Graphics.bat and Akula loudout.bat on SCXII. I ran the Graphics.bat for SCXIIc. I then replaced the Controllers.Ini in the Sub Command folder and ran the Installplayablesub per the SCU instructions. And it still won't let me hear the voices on the SCU subs. From what I understand I need 1.07 or 1.08 version for it to work. The NCP is patched up to 1.08.
So why won't it work?????? :hmm: Anybody else try SCU with the NCP???

Thanks, and the same to you. I'm afraid that I haven't played SC for a long time (too busy having fun with orbiter), or touched my campaigns, of which I have two in progress. I have an almost completed Falklands War campaign for the Trafalgar - maybe I'll take a look at it when I get some time in the next few months when I am nopt under so much pressure at work.
The second campaign is a 'Crimson Tide' style series of missions for the playable Ohio - again, about half-finished.
Sea Demon I will do an install to night(GMT) using the NCP and the mods and i will let you know how i get on. I will use the SCXII and SCXIIc from Bill's site.Alternatively look at your configuration settings or have a look on the options page to make sure that you have sound enabled.
I did the whole thing with no problems. When you use SCX make sure you click on the SCX image in the lower right of the screen Go to options and select sound to make sure they are enabled.

Thank you for doing this, Linton. I'll try what you posted here. I'm glad to hear SCU works correctly with the NCP.
