you should find GWX quite an improvement.

GWX is a major expansion to GW1.1a and is a completely new install. I highly suggest you take a look at the manual. It should sufficiently explain the differences etc..

I like that analogy, I would have gone with gree wall paint and giant squids myself though. ;) Now those are different.
