Voice Commands?

Does anyone use voice to command your boat? Ive heard it is available for DW, but never saw an option for it. Wondering how well it works, etc....

It works, and works good. Problem is though that its too much of a pain in the ass to memorize all the commands.

But when my ego is as inflated like a big balloon, it feels good to be able to say "ALL AHEAD TWO-THIRDS!" and be replied with "engines ahead, two-thirds, propulsion aye!"

It works, and works good.

YMMV.

It does have a disturbing tendency to default to "surface" when it doesn't understand something. And other quirks. But I guess good microphone input and training the software might help.

One of the best features in the game (IMHO) and one I've been after SCS (to no avail) to expand upon! But you do need to spend some time "training" the voice recognition within Windows. If you're using a VOIP program (TS or Vent) while playing be ESPECIALLY careful about which PTT button you set for each program or you could wind up yelling "LAUNCH ACTIVE DECOY DEEP!!!!" to your friends instead of your crew at a critical moment! :lol:
