GWX Suggestion - Watch Officer's Visibility Estimation

Back in the day when I played Silent Service 2 there was a screen that came up just before combat and it gave the XO's estimation of how far away your sub would be visible from on the surface at various aspects (eg. side on/head on/decks awash (or am I just dreaming this was possible in SS2? Can't remember.)/periscope).

I would love to be able to get one of the officers to give me a report about this in game. :yep:

Not sure, but I think this is something that cannot be done without a SDK from the devs.

Lacking the ability to do this is the data for the newly reworked visibility distances available anywhere? For example, some kind of table which has the different U-boats listed on one side and the weather/time of day conditions listed along the top and the distance the boat can be observed from in between?
