View Full Version : 6 Dials Slide Horiz For Gwx Published......
Hi everybody.
Plis dont ask gw team for support about it. im just playing :up: i love this :)
This is a personal mixed conversion with: Slideout dials mod 4 by FLB sale U-999 and Slideout FLB Sale's 6 Dials Simfeeling Mod.
I prefer the first option, cause i like gw console and i didnt want to change it. so i make 6 slideout dials without touch the console..
you must have GWX and IntegratedOrders. After appy 6dials with jsgme.

EXACTLY what I wanted.
I feel the same way. I love the dials but prefer the 'classic' console.

Question. Is there any way to use these new slideout dials and loose the standard three at bottom right of screen, they're a bit of a pain during night attacks as they are too bright, if I had the slideout dials this could solve the problem

Yes there is - i have made that for my self, but i can zip it up as a full mod in JSGME formate for those who want it.
It includes (for stock GWX)
Draggable Nomograph
Tools icons switched so the ones with bearings are in the default slot
6 dials and sim feelings mod
slideout TDC mod

Ah these are like the slideouts found in War Ace Campaign. Glad to see them being implemented in my other favorite supermod, GWX.
Question. Is there any way to use these new slideout dials and loose the standard three at bottom right of screen, they're a bit of a pain during night attacks as they are too bright, if I had the slideout dials this could solve the problem

sorry my english but i understand that your're asking for Slideout FLB Sale's 6 Dials Simfeeling Mod??? isnt it??? the dials and not in the down console.. ????
if that, its made on that mod.. but i like a lot the original console with GWX dials..

(In NYGM they work the same as the console, which is 3 dials with a switch button for each of them, so they are well separated from each other (bearing and engine on the right side, depth on the right bottom side).
Is that right ?

Yes.. The version of the 6 dials for NYGM its 6 dials, which is 3 dials with a switch botton for each of them.. But the problem (my problem ;) its that version also changes the bottom console and getoff the 3 dials in the console.. and i like it a lot.. so i just take the 6 dials from that mod and move it to a personal version of the original 4 slide, (with 6's) and that's the result....
I think there is no much thinks to do with it... but im ready to listen for another opinions o f course :up:

So its another thing totally diferent to this.. We have the console exactly like gwx. Only 6 dials slide... :doh:

Ok - i have now finished and uploaded my mod to filefront.
It contains the following and are applicable over a stock GWX with JSGME.
Draggable Nomograph
Tools icons switched so the ones with bearings are in the default slot
6 dials and Sim-feelings mod
Slideout TDC mod
Removal of the 3 dials and other redundant stuff from the console to only have the big dials. Only things visible are the officers icons and the Uboot detection level icon.
SP2 Res Fix (optional - is only used if you have installed microsoft's applications toolkit and run the bat.) !!!DELETE the d3d9.cfg from the mod's folder before you install if you dont run in hires mode!!
Commands in english with keypresses usualy on F9-F11 now moved to new keys. Deck Gun on G and Flack Gun on F. Allso enabled a command for weapons officer to plot a locked ship (shift S) and identify a ship (Shift I) plus a lot more. Basicaly its the RuB 1.4 keyfile incorporated into GWX.
Torpedolaufzeiten sheet in Map view along with the knots sheets etc. Shows torpedo running times vs. distance for 4 type of german torpedos. Altered original page 34 from the Torpedo Schusstafel (VIIB Potada) document.Hope you like it.

:hmm: Erhm......all the links are dead, I cannot live without those dials...and I would like the consols moved too since they cover the beautiful graphics work.....I use GW...does anyone have a link for a GW compatible 6 dial mod. without any consol?....any help would be extremely appreciated :D

If you don't want the console docked at the bottom of the screen you have to edit the menu_1024_768.ini that way :

I also use Pascals dials instead of GWX ones (does any body like it?).

I have found that link in another thread,all the merit goes to FLB Sale U-999 which did all this greatest work.

To paraphrase CCIP: Exactly NOT what I wanted. The purpose of the six-dials mod (for me anyway) was to get rid of the bar across the bottom. Still, I'm not knocking it, that's just the way I like it. It looks like you've done a good thing where everyone else is concerned.
I guess once I can play again I'll have to redo the whole thing myself.

I just use the original "6-Dials Simfeeling Mod" and follow the instructions. It's a bit of a pain but I like the effect.

Mav's mod has managed to give me big dials and everything scrolls away out of sight .. everything except the Officers icons at the bottom left; is there a Mod out there that would scroll them out of the way so I get GWX in full screen ?

Which is why I said "like" as in similar. It is similar as both have sliding gauges/telegraphs. ;)

Yea the problem with the links was that i have advanced to version 2 of the mod and thus deleted the old version and update.
For now the filespace should contain the modcollection version 2 and a small update for letting the officers slide out as well.

If your PC is just half new you should be able to use it.
Im running smooth in 1280x1024 on a AMD 64+ Athlon 3500 with a GeForce 7900GT and one Mb RAM (two sticks) and two RAID disks.

With that machine, I'd imagine you should able to run in 1600x1200 or better...well, if your moniter supports it. I run 16x12 on a 2800+ with a 6800GT and still end up with frames in the 40s/50s except for the harbors where it'll dip down to the low 20s.
And it sure looks good. :)

Look at my post above,you have to edit the menu_1024_768.ini which came from Mav's mod that way and you will have full screen!:up:
