I am out to sea right now. Just checking the site on my laptop while I head to the south west Atlantic. I am really loving GWX. Thank you guys for what you have done!

Same here BBW. As my internert was playing up it took me 18 hours to download, install, check it's OK and upload it. I haven't started playing yet. Probably tonight

I can understand and empathise with your frustration Jmack :yep: But as already pointed out if it wasn't for those of us who have spent the best part of a day u/l to various sites (thereby denying ourselves the opportunity to play as well) the queues would have been closer to astronomical proportions :yep:
I hope your d/l will be ready for you on your return from work..salute

GWX blew me away within 5 minutes of leaving the dock, I started my first test career out of Salamis because I always liked Greece and wanted to try a new base out. As I'm leaving the channel I see a half sunk hulk off to the side, that impressed the living daylights out of me.

I thought the sky looked much better than it did in any of my previous SH III installs too, right up until the sun started to set, then I thought it was just downright freakin' beautiful.

Due to RL orders from BdU (aka The Girlfriend, who wanted cuddles) I didn't get a whole patrol in but I did get one attack in and took out a tramp steamer and passenger/cargo, the new damage model is very believable and I was humming "Burn Baby Burn" when the secondaries started. A bit later I ran into what looked like a Hunter Killer group NW of Alexandria, 2-3 DDs and 2-3 DEs, since I was being ordered back to the bunker (so to speak) I didn't do anything fancy, just took the boat down to 75 meters and creeped away...and honestly I think even if I would have had the rest of the night I still would have creeped away.

Very, very impressed so far.

Before installing GWX I renamed my SH3 folder in My Documents. After install, I copied it back in to the new SH3 folder in My Documents.

The old files loaded and my tonnage totals were restored.

If you haven't started yet, do the same. Why lose all the work you did on earlier patrols?

I'm just out on my first patrol, but so far haven't seen anything that wasn't in the previous GW mod. I am eager to note any differences.
