GWx Suggestions Thread

I thought it might be a nice idea to have a Suggestions thread for GWx.

Additional features and/or constructive criticism only please.
Do not flame GWx or it's devs'. (not that anyone in the right mind would anyway!)
I have no idea if there will be updates for GWx and GWx is already extremely comprehensive, so lets just treat this as a purely academic exercise for now. :know:



As for my own suggestions....
The torpedo motor sound could be improved as you can hear it looping a bit.
The moon texture might be a little bright.
How about adding some big slide-out dials and TDC in periscope view.

That said, I find GWx to be almost flawless. Well done guys and thanks! :up:

Download SH3 Commander 2.7. You can change the water density in the options menu there.

Yes use SH3commander and change the water clarity as posted above

I think that there should be limited diesel and torpedo supply during last few monthes of the war

I don't know whether it is historically accurate, but I suggest that in the last few monthes of the war, oil supply < oil demand, as well as torpedo supply (since batteries are destroyed in Allied bombards) So it may not be appropriate for a Type IXD boat to get 100% diesel when it is ordered to patrol Western Approaches

Just make sure you also get the GWX - SH3 commander files .cfg files.

My only gripe with GWX is nighttime is TOO DARK!! I can barely see my UZO and WO on the bridge at night.

If you reinstalled SHIII before you installed GWx remember that6 your video brightness in ooptions will have been reset.

That's an interesting point as I was told that about dwindling oil supplies in the latter stages of the war affecting just about everything that had a motor in Germany.

This is not a complaint, GWX is Excellent, but i have a problem with my emblem. I selected the "Laughing Swordfish", but when i look at my boat, all isee is this. It looks like the conning.tga file...
Edit: When i restarted the game, all was back to normal, (showin' the fish).

It's most likelly due to a texture problem in one of the AI watch towers, I'll fix it and upload a patch.
