I have GWX running fine. On second thoughts, not just 'fine' - it's bloody brilliant!.
I deleted my prior instal of SH3 Cmdr 2.6 when I was setting up my clean SH3 instal. I have SH3 Cmdr 2.7 DL'ed and ready to go. Can I now just instal 2.7 without further ado or drama?

I believe there is a file you need to download first to make SH3 Commander work with GWX...
3. GWX Cfg files for SH3 Commander (you MUST download this
file if you run SH3 Commander - see GWX manual for more
information)

Yes install the extra files as Faa has posted
These are GWX specific files and are needed to run commander properly with GWX
Updated ship displacements cfg and ship names.cfg as well as new randomised events and uboat availability cfgs
Then use as normal

Thanks guys. The readme and the manual say to unzip the GWX specific cfg files for SH3 Commander R2.7 straight into the SH3 config file. Is that the SH3 config file that is under SH3 in My Documents or the config file that's in the SH3 folder under Ubi? Hope you know what I mean but I'm confused.

Hmmm will have to look at that
The readme in the zip says to add to SH3commander cfg which is where they are supposed to go
They are SH3Commnder files
C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander\Cfg
The readme reads
Please unzip the contents of this archive DIRECTLY into your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder. You may like to backup the existing files first.

Typical - I didn't read carefully enough. They go to the SH3 Cmdr config file - not the SH3 config file. Many thanks BBW
