Just trying to avoid head-scratching during install of GWX, reading the manual section on fatigue, pages 21 and following, I get the impression that there is a default model (REal World Fatigue) on install. Are there also options on this, eg 8-hour and 24-hour. I see the manual recommends against the 24-hour, so presumably there are options? If there is no default model and you have to choose, what are the options that will show, and what has to be selected to get the Real World Fatigue model?

Then, in SH3Cmdr, would you select the no-fatigue option, so that GWX runs the chosen option?

The 24hr fatigue was buggy - couldnt reload torps or move the XXI
Default is 8hr I think and yes as always you can set no fatigue in commander

Tks bbw. Presumably the fatigue selection in SH3Cmdr should mirror the one selected (or the default) during install? ie if 8 hour by default or selection during GWX install, would select 8 hour in SH3Cmdr also?

To be honest not had a great deal of time to play lol
But I believe yes you are right
I think the GWX24hr fatigue has been removed as an option on commander anyway

Now that I've installed GWX, I'm not sure what fatigue model I have. There were no options during GWX install, but I assume that GWX installed its default fatigue model. When running SH3Cmdr 2.7 (plus the GWX-specific files extracted into the cfg folder), one of the options is the GW 8-hour fatigue model. Now, (and so far as there's a difference) is that the GWX default fatigue model, or the old GW11a fatigue model?

Its the same as the GW 8hr fatigue I believe

Is it safe to use no fatigue in GWX? I'm just wondering because I don't like the idea of babysitting my crew. *flashbacks* Just go to bed Bernard! :nope:

I am planning to do so,yes. :p

How can you set GWX to no-fatigue, without using SH3Commander?
Can I look for some mini-mod, that does this?
I come from IUB, and liked the no-fatigue...just how I like to play.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you'd have to use SH3Cmdr and select no-fatigue in the options.

You may need to alter the cfg to no fatigue rather than just swop cfgs because of other changes

Personally, I don't know why anyone would not want to use Commander. :know:

Especially as it now has GWX specific files for ship names\classes etc

I like to keep things simple, so I never used it.
U think I should get it, to get the most out of SH3 and GWX?

And suppose I select no-fatigue, then will morale be uneffected?

I'm no expert on SH3 Cmdr as JScones is, becuase I haven't gotten to play much apart from GWX file testing... but YES DEFINITELY!!!

A question, if I may. I installed SH3, GWX + Hotfix and now after reading this thread SH3 Commander 2.7 with the required cfg. If I want to remove fatigue during gameplay do I have to launch the game via the SH3 Commander always from now on or only once?

Yep, I put my Commander icon shortcut down in the quicklaunch bar and deleted the other shortcut on the desktop, so one click and I'm there.
