View Full Version : No score in Gray Wolves!
Am on my 4th patrol in Gray Wolves and have a prob. After hitting large merchants waited for them to sink so as not to waste torps. They sink and show as such on the map but no points are given for the sinking? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello
If you upgrade your boat after you finished your patrol you can end up not having awarded the kills. I think it's a stock bug. Always upgrade your boat before your patrol and not once you've finished the old one. Also never upgrade your boat before the first mission.

Do you mean you returned to port and didn't get credit? By points do you mean renown or tonnage?

Once the ship has sunk it shows on the map as sunk but you dont get the "She's going down" mesage and no tonnage is awarded. It's just annoying to 7000+ tonnage "get away".

This might be a stupid question, but GW removed the colour difference of enemy/neutral/friendly ships, are you sure they were enemy?

Following a sinking... the color of the ship sunk icon does return... ergo you will know the moment a ship is sunk as to whether or not you screwed up.
Regarding the failure of tonnage to be properly posted to your career... this is a STOCK SH3 bug... not a GW bug. It happens periodically... nothing we can do about it.
Yup just another in the long list of Stock flaws that we do not want to see carried over into SH4.
Thanks for that gents, tried again and put another torp in and down it went but scored that time. Waste of a torp but rather that than lose 7000+ tons!

Yes, putting one more torp or use desk gun (in good weather) is my practice as well
Also, make sure you don't use magnetic detonator this time, because the boat probably have flooding and its actual draft is lower than the value shown in recognization manual. You will have error and probably the fish bounce off the bottom of the ship in this way.
Use impact detonator at 3m to obtain best result
