What's up with this (from the first page): http://www.navyleague.org/sea_power/dec06-52.php

The germans doing shotty workmanship on their Type214 orders or are the Greek just fusing over nothing?

Opinions?

It really doesn't make sense for the Greek to invent problems that aren't there, they want the boat as much as the Germans want to sell it, so guess there is no reason to believe that the Greeks are making things up... but that just begs the question... how does Howaldtswerke Deutsche Werft have the gall to put out bad workmanship?...:hmm:

Everything but the hydraulics are typical and acceptable teething troubles. The first of class is when theory bumps into reality, and often theory falls short in some arcane, unpredictable place. They can test all the parts, but they don't know how they'd "cooperate" until they put it all together.

Greece is really just unlucky this time, little more.
