So, you've uninstalled and reinstalled Silent Hunter III. You've patched it to 1,4b. You've downloaded Grey Wolves Expansion and printed the manual, which now sits on your desk. It's Friday night, and you've got a weekend alone with GWX.

What's the first thing you do?

Personally, I think I'll start several new careers, one in Trondheim, one in Asia. Perhaps I'll have one career be late-war and one be as early-war as possible.

Then, of course, I'll integrate what I have of NorOps and check out what GWX implies in Norway and how much of it, if any, needs to be altered. It's going to be good:up:.

What about you?

Ohhhh...At first, i kill a goat. Then i place it upon my subsim-alter. Then i start to chant...."oooooooooo-oooooooooo-ooooooooo-Neal Stevens" "oooooooooooo-ooooooooo-oooooooooooo-Subsim" "oooooooooooo-ooooooooo-ooooooooo-GWX"
Then i clap my hands three times, while im doing the "spiritual subsim-dance".

Then i play GWX the whole weekend without sleep.

Nice one Seth!

:nope: :nope: :nope:

LOL! No offense meant.

I don't do anything major. I take out the renown for upgrades, have my own extended radiolog, set crash dive depths for all my subs to 20 or 30 meters. I also change the ammo loadouts, remove the tails from the navmap and have a few textures I use if I feel they're better than what comes with the mod. I also correct some spelling errors I found that have been carried over from the stock game.

Good on the spelling errors, I was getting tired of having to correct them for every mod I've played.

I have a simple ammo loadout. 8.8cm = 220 HE & 10.5cm=150 HE. All AA ammo I leave alone.

is go to Office Depot and get a ream of paper and a 5 gal ink cartridge.

Anyword on if we will be able to DL the manual while we're waiting for the rest of the files to DL?

Once that's done, fire it up and see what changes have been made since the Beta release. As I'm sure we didn't see everything.

Not with exactitude... The exact release date/time is dependant on our ability to produce / upload to at least three solid primary mirrors. We will not release until we have at least three.

Play SHIII with GWX non-stop for days until I am taken to hospital suffering exhaustion and put on a saline drip. :arrgh!:

If GWX comes out in approx two weeks then this is perfect. My wife is off for a holiday for four days with her girlfirends. So that means I can immerse myself in nothing but SHIII GWX over the Chrissy holidays.

While I have no doubt the vast majority of GWX will be close to perfect there will always be a few things some of us will see a little different.
And, I have (evil dark sided) ships that will not be available to GWX so will likely change a few in the RND.mis file as well as increase the convoy escorts for later war to my 12-20 I found gives me the feeling I get from reading the U-Boat accounts from those that were in them..
I am curious what the team decided on sensors so will run them as is and see how that goes.
No matter how good it is some us want to tinker even for the sake of tinkering.
I certainly look forward to GWX and whatever edits I do they will likely be tiny over all given the advance descriptions given here.
The fact some of us may want a little different seasoning does not mean we don’t appreciate the nice mod that will certainly make SH3 better than it ever has been.

I'll crawl back under my rock now!:rotfl:

I go upstairs and give the wife the old hard drive so she will leave me alone for a few days:D then....

Hand my two kids $50.00 each to buy them off and leave me alone for a few days...

Call the boss and tell him I have an eye problem and do not see myself coming in for a few days, then....

Close the blinds, turn off the lights, throw the phone out the window for the dog to chew or uninate on whichever comes first, then....

Brew a large pot of coffee, chug it down and proceed to make another pot, this time just the coffee grounds and no water, chug that down, then...

Proceed with a new career in 1939. Play until my eyes bleed and I'm face down on the keyboard with siliva dripping from my lips during my unconcious state of bliss from none stop playing, then.....
