This sounds stupid, i know. Could someone direct me to a place where i can get a step-by-step explanation how to repaint my subs.... :nope: Im stuck with some pink guns, and i'll have to do everything again.....

I used the black sub base textures made by another painter (dont recall his name, but thanx mate). I added some grey dots over it, and voila...
From black to something more greyish.

what do you actually wanna repaint..? its not that hard... just select the parts and add some color and for camo u could use textures and then photomerge them in photoshop over the skin..

I use PS CS2 and the main thing about new skins is keeping the details(ie rivets etc). I don't know much about Coral but you need to work in layers and set the layer state to overlay. That way you keep the underlying details. In your pictures above you can't make out the decking detail etc.

You are correct, there isnt much deckin detail on my pics. I will look at your link, and get photoshop from my girlfriends computer. I think thats the best. Just paint the daisy boat pink (keep the flowers!!!!!), dont worry no stepping on toes here, mate! I cant wait to see the result!!!

There is nothing wrong with PSP. Its easier to use than PS and far cheaper. Yes PS is a tad more powerfull, but for Games skin's its over kill when PSP will do the same thing and use far less system resources. PS is just a system hog, but if you can get both then you have the best of both worlds.

I'll up it tonight after I've finished the guns etc. Also there is some 'daisy glitches' which I'll correct first.

You'll find this out when you start your own skins, the texture wrapping is somewhat strange, in that it takes bits and patches/stretches them to odd places.
