Default how to make your gui compatible with Flakmonkey & DD's mod

how to make your gui compatible with Flakmonkey & DD's mod
-----------------------------------------------------------

two files need adjustments ,the commands ( data/cfg) and the cameras.dat (data/library)

copy and paste at your desktop the commands and the cameras.dat of the gui you are using.
rename the cameras.dat to something else ,for example to ''cameras-take values''

for the commands:
------------------
search in the manual of FM&DD's mod and you will find there all the changes-entries that you must apply to your commands.import these changes-entries to yous commands and save

for the cameras.dat
-------------------

1.copy and paste at your desktop the cameras.dat of FM&DD's mod
2.open with s3d the ''cameras-take values'' and the cameras.dat
3.copy one by one ...EACH AND EVERY VALUE that you see at ''Dummy_Cam_UZO'' ,''Dummy_Cam_Obs_Periscope'' , ''Dummy_Cam_Periscope'' , ''Dummy_Cam_Binocular'' from the ''cameras-take values'' to the cameras.dat of FM&DD's mod . save the changes

create now a jsgme mod for these two files and enable it LAST in the mods enabled list.

Thats it ! you finished !

Makman-

I have done the editing on both files and made a separate folder to load into JGSME, however, I just realized that I need the OLC fix that came with the FM mod. So, via JGSME I load the FM mod, then the OLC fix then the new edited files last...so this ought to work per your instructions? Am I understanding that correctly? Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: OK...the edits all work except 2 things (minor perhaps): I have no volume control on the hydrophones and the shift-e key to the engine room does not work. See below. Earlier, before the edits, the hydrophones were off by 20°, now they are good. The new animations and click spots are working OK. I'm pretty sure the hydro volume is controlled in the sound files? On another note, using OLC fix with the new Camera.dat edits, both scopes, binoculars and UZO all work fine. Crosshairs are aligned, magnification settings are good too.

I copied and pasted the Cmd line from the FM mod cfg file to the edited one I made per Makmans instructions. It works now. This will enable you to go to the engine room by pressing shift+e.

hi Comet,

this post is for those who are NOT using the Magui or the Olc's gui

if you use the MaGui you will find the 'fix' you need in its .rar
if you use Olc's gui you will find the 'fix' you need in the .rar of FM_NI
read very carefully what mods and the order of them in order to have a proper installation

ps: in any case you don't need all the 'fixes' ! you need ONLY ONE ...just the one that matches with the gui you are using

bye

What if you're using something like ACM Reloaded (which is installed on top of OLC) ?

I threw the relevant ACM reloaded files into ACM1.1.0 and then followed the steps that Mak described and then enabled in this order

FM Interior
ACM gui
FM OLC Fic

Worked like a charm.
