Gunships - future looks bright again!

http://www.simhq.com/_air10/air_325a.html

Blackshark will be a standalone product, no Lock On addon. It will be the first in a series of titles adding more playables to the new combat arena, there is the Apache and the A-10 in the making, too. It looks candy-sweet good.

Negative: although they officially gave decent hardware demands, I'm sure this thing will kill your hardware in zero time.

You know how to ground my enthusiasm in no time!

If it is an SF-infested title, I will scratch it immediately from the list. I just hoped that they have learned from the fury around SF. If you are right, then they obviously already have enough potential customers and so can afford to loose many others.

Q: What copy protection system will the DCS series use?
A: We are currently evaluating several protection methods that we hope will balance the protection of our investment with customer concerns.

I don't think they would chose starforce again since most people don't like it, But then again you never really know.

I really hope they do not ruin it with Starforce, becasue of these comments on first hand experiences with the flight model and general fidelity of the package:

http://www.simhq.com/_commentary/all_037a.html

Also, first screenshots of the next two aircraft's they will release in that new series, the A-10 and the AH-64. Sugar!

Nah, don't bring me down again with suggestions about the to-be-expected hardware demands...

And now I go to the temple and offer the gods a white cow, telling them in their blown-up faces that it is their responsibility to make sure that all becomes good with this title.

They could add something equally damaging - like Tages! SF is not the only bad apple in the DRM barn. Tages has been shown to screw with SATA bad.
