SH3Cmdr looks for SH3.exe for a number of reasons but to modify it is not one of them.

For this reason you can not "point" it to another exe file name.

FWIW I'd be looking for the root causes of my system problem first, before even thinking about applying bandaid solutions like changing file names.

Minor issue: my grammaphone tracks are no longer being randomized, although I have the option checked in SH3 Commander.

Any ideas on how to reset and restore this option? Thanks!

- a fresh and clean install of SH3
- GWX
- JS generic mod enabler comes with GWX
- SH3 Commander
- SH3 Commander config-file for GWX

that should do your install.

Start out with a clean install of stock SH3 patched to v1.4 (and no residual files on your drive from any previous installs).

Install GWX3.

Install SH3 Commander.

Then install the config files for SH3 Commander + GWX3.

?????

@fasteel.....and at the risk of making myself even more unpopular (and without the need for multiple posts)

If you have had a previous installation of SH3 in your system which you are no longer using, it is best practice to delete the SH3 folder located in C\MyDocs (that is the usual location).

Use your SH3 disc to uninstall your previous installation (this removes more residual files than a simple deletion operation).

Carry out a registry clean with a decent software programme....I use Regvac, there is a free trial period version available from here:

You can now carry on with the instructions from the previous posters or you can click on my sig which will take you to the official GWX website where you will find comprehensive installation instructions.

Please be advised, GWX3.0 does not come with the latest version of JSGME but you can obtain it easily and free of charge from:
