Its MSTS Oberon. I have RS 2013, but MSTS has more things I can add that are free, compared to all the payware addons for RS. I am looking at the Kingbridge Route, its an older route but still fun to use. This is from 1941, depicting an evacuation train, taking kids out of harms way to safer areas in the countryside. Can't run an activity like this in RS.

Meanwhile, in spaaaaaace. A certain piece of space junk is on a sort-of collision course with the soon-to-be space junk Delta Glider.

Where did I put those thrusters again? Ah, here. Mid-course correction burn...

...err...

Better.

I wonder if I can de-orbit this thing...

I think I tried to deorbit the ISS once, then I hit time compression one too many times and sent the thing to Alpha Centauri instead.

The game told me to get rid of witnesses if I was spotted...

I'll probably end up backing up my save file and then de-orbiting my huge Space Station in KSP .18 when I get the chance.

Although, the fun of doing so will be much better when re-entry physics and heat are added into the game.

Edit: Upon thinking about it further. At some point I'd like to make a scale version of this:

And drop it on the game's version of Australia.

Are you sure you want to drop it on Australia? I mean, the US government is in a big enough debt problem as it is without having to pay Australia another fine for littering...

I agree, it's definitely Mun that deserves to have a space colony dropped on it.

That'll show that thing for breaking my landers all the time...

To be fair, in that series colony drops are a weekly occurrence.

Besides, the only valid target for a colony drop is colony drop.

I can only recall like 3 colony drops.

Although it brings up an interesting concept. Now I have to fling Space Stations into Space stations to see the result.

Also, I've done the math. An O'Neil Cylinder or Gundam Space Colony needs to be 2.8KM long and 720 M wide. KSP has a view distance of 2KM, so it's quite possible to make.

Including asteroid colonies, there are a total of 6 in the Universal Century that I can think of, five of which actually achieve impact. Of course, then you have that one AU...

Unfortunately, because KSP only models gravity between two objects, it's impossible to place O'Neill cylinders (or any type of space colony) into their proper orbit at Lagrange points. Of course, if all you want to do with it is smash it into a planet, that's not much of a problem.

I know of the two in the original, and the one at the end of Stardust Memories, but I haven't seen much of the other series(besides 08th MS team, which didn't feature a colony drop). I know in SEED they do destroy a Colony with the Launcher variant of the Striker. But still 6 isn't that many, but that's a different timeline.

Because N-body physics are really difficult to calculate or something. But I could just put one in orbit past Minimus, the question is just what to make it out of.

I'm trying to recreate the principle behind the Shagohod in KSP. For those who aren't familiar with the Shagohod, it's a Nuclear ICBM launching Metal Gear. It uses jet thrusters to accelerate and then it launches the ICBM at an accelerated state, giving the missile a longer attack distance without having to use boosters.

The whole premise is that it can use any flat land anywhere in the world to launch ICBMs at anywhere else in the world, without having to build huge missile silos.

This is how it looks in game.

This is my first prototype.

In a serious note, I think I have prototype that will actually work, I just need to do some more tests on it.
