DRM has been a non-issue since D2D allowed me to download my copy of the game at 7:45 CST yesterday. It is not as big of a deal in terms of interrupting game play. It is very well implimented so far...

My problem with DRM is beyond the issue of having a permanet internet connection but the amount of information that Ubi is gathering from those of us who play. Data mining at it's worst.

Haven't had any problems with the DRM yet.My biggest concern is if Ubisoft ever shut's down their servers.

No major problems.
It is annoying however, when it autosaves whenever the hell it wants.
It always seems to be when I am zooming in on a ship in the final stages of an attack, makes the game pause for about a second.

Could just be my imagination though.

You might want to ask the guy who posted immediately before you whether he agrees with this statement.

25 hours. So imho Ubis DRM wasn't aimed into piracy but secondary market. They shoot theyself into stomache.

When, in a thousand years from now, and manking has extinguished itself, an alien race from outer space lands on earth and discovers old computer programs, they will endlessly think about the fact that 99,9 percent of the software actually consists of code to prevent the 0,1 percent rest of the software, from running.

According to a News Article on "Strategy Informer", the game's DRM has already been cracked:

http://www.strategyinformer.com/news...ilent-hunter-5

If it's true, I hope Ubisoft either now remove this failed(?) security measure as it only penalises legit owners.

If Ubisoft's past record offers any clues, chances are they will just
make a more(!) invasive DRM system and roll it out in an auto-update.

This is sad but true.

I have not had any connection issues, but my Comcast Broadband never has had any hiccups or downtime in my market.

That happened to me with SH4 a few years back. I believe I opened a new e-mail account then re-registered with Ubi.
