Tycho, I sent you a partial of my menu. I don't get it either. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. It has to be something in my gui. I bet if I run it stock I would see it. I'm going to try that.

Oh great! Just lovely to get this modification as I use gridxxxx all the time, every patrol. Thanks Fahnenbohn and Tycho!

I just tried Fahnenbohn's version, and I like it! Well, I like them both. This version is easier to read, but Tycho's original has a kind of special feel to it, like it belongs there.

I still don't have the Harbor Maps pull-down. Either I lost the TGA somehow or I somehow changed the menu.ini. I'm not sure how I could have done either, but I am pretty sure it's something I did.

So, can anyone tell me which menu.ini number controls the position of that one? I'm going to go back and check the .tgas now.

I took out and re-installed everything. I've decided to go with Tycho's original version. Everything works fine, but I still don't have the harbor maps pull-down. It shows up if I remove the menu.ini entry for the XXXX mod, and goes away again when I replace that entry. I see no reason why it should do that, but it does.

Default That is strange

Hello again Steve...

Do the two Speed-Distance Tables still show up when you put the GridXXXX overlay in place?

I have all of them, the GridXXXX overlay, Harbor Minefield/Net ("Sperrnetze") charts and the two Speed-Distance Tables, without any problem like you described.

The "Sperrnetze" .tga is called out in "FLB's NavMap mod" as item [G31 I21], which (strangely) is almost all the way down at the bottom of my 'menu_1024_768.ini' page, together with items I22, 23 & 24; they do not appear together with the other G31 items called-out near the top of the page. If your GridXXXX is overwriting that item, you could either renumber the GridXXXX or the "Sperrnetze" and get them to both play nice together.

Hope you can find the source of the problem...sink 'em all.

Yes they do.

I haven't looked yet, responding as soon as I saw your reply, but I'm betting I'll find that's the problem. I hadn't even thought of that, but you're right, people tack lots of things onto the end without bothering to blend them. I'll find out soon enough.

Thanks for reminding me of that. I'll check it poste-haste.

Yep, that was it. I almost always forget to check at the bottom. When I do my habit is to transfer everything up to where it belongs. Doing it this time I noticed that something else was numbered incorrectly, probably on my part. When I renumbered everything I found that not only did I have the Harbor Charts back, but also the SH3 Convoy Route Chart! Since I never use that one I hadn't even noticed it wasn't there! Now I have them all.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I don't have NYGM and I don't have any GUI mod, and it works fine for me.

This mod can work with any installation. You just have to read carefully the Readme file. I advise you to create a mod for JSGME, and add the modified menu in it.

Good luck.
