I noticed on many of my older machines (that were signifigantly faster than the system that I originally played on) the AI would do things that it shouldn't...

For example: on one game, playing on the the "recomended system reqirements" had a few seconds to move from cover to cover.
But playing on a dual core of double the mhz per core, if I poked my head out for a second....
I was instantly spotted, and the alarm raised.

Might be what's going on here, your only have your scope up for 3 seconds, but instead of being 75,000,000 cycles (25mhz), it been 6-12,000,000,000 cycles (2-4ghz).
So in CPU cycle terms, it been ~4 minutes.

Might be what's going on...
Or I might be completely off, and/or crazy, you never know!

That's a good point. I'm running dosbox at 25% cycles, though I'm not sure there's much difference between that and 100%. Seems to be a little wave action - wise, but who knows.

Have an old laptop with a 2ghz cpu on it. Think I'll do some experimenting per your idea.

Thanks !
