Now about that 1:44th size desk at only 6.45m (21ft) long in glass or plexiglass ... you got what it takes to build one, especially with a bridge building son-in-law and lots of paint and pictures and time on your hands. Take a year and build a model desk to display your other model planes, except they probably aren't 1:44th size though, uh?

I still think it would make a great hobby ... build two at the same time and sell one to pay for the first one.

Details would take most of the time ... do a good job and make some money too

I always thought the Avro Vulcan was ahead of it's time. Then again, so were the Horton brothers from Germany who proved the feasibility of the flying wing and whose work inspired the construction of the Vulcan and B-2. In service from 1956 until 1984, it flew without benefit of fly by wire systems and modern computers. Incredible piece of engineering.

Yes, well ahead of its time and I have my vulcan configuered as she was armed for Operation Black Buck 1 carrying twenty-one 1,000 lb bombs internally.
