There will be plenty of surface action. In addition submarine/anti-submarine warfare is getting a complete overhaul since it played such a central role in the theatre.

Convoy actions will be in the game for surface raiders and wolf packs to take on and escorts to defend.

Man, can't wait! Awesome game from decent developers! Glad these guys are doing well. I'll buy a couple copies just to show my gratitude!

Very excited about this game, especially since it seems to becoming more realistic than Pacific Fleet (which was very good by the way).

Such an interesting and massively neglected theatre of war. Especially from the Royal Navy's perspective.

DID YOU SAY SURFACE RAIDERS?! *excited sqeal*

Raiders were my favorite ships involved in the war, I would love to see them in game! Do they get a special perk or something, like where an enemy ship cannot fire on one until it fires first or something like that?

Anyways, this looks amazing!

There's 3 German Auxiliary Cruisers (Surface Raiders) currently in game:
Pingiun, Atlantic and Kormoran.

In the dynamic campaign the raiders work alone (not in task forces) and have a bonus not to be detected by allied ships. They also have an initiative bonus (get to act first) and a range bonus (get to start closer to the enemy).

There is also a single historical mission "Kormoran vs Sydney" where the two ships start of at very close range and duke it out until one (or both) are sunk.

Pictured below is a screenshot of the Kormoran.
