Maverick captain? Nah, new posture of Spain? Not exactly...I'd say this taking the piss at the rock of Gibraltar by the Spanish Armed forces is by now I'd say become a monthly thing or whenever the British House of Commons is being in uproar about the whole Brexit ordeal. I wouldn't be suprised the Eurofighter Typhoons and F18's I hear and see take off from Malaga Airbase now and then head towards Gibraltar as well to keep the Brits over there busy.

Before he joined the Navy and became captain of that warship, he worked in a small British hotel in Torquay....

For some reason one is reminded of the famous quote of Colour Sergeant Muir RM on 1 April 1982, when the 3000-strong Argentinean invasion force called upon the ~50 Royal Marines defending the Falklands to surrender.
Too non-PC to quote directly here, must leave it for people to look up for themselves, eg here: <https://www.quotes.net/movies/an_ungentlemanly_act_12091> Sufficient for now to observe that it was emphasised by a lengthy burst of automatic fire. The Bootnecks have always had a special flair for diplomacy. Last edited by mikedora; 02-19-19 at 10:32 PM. |
