Files available from my sig

1.Uninstall SH3 via Windows' "Add/Remove programs"
2. Open Windows Explorer and:
- *delete* the folder where you had installed SH3
- *delete* the \My Documents\SH3 folder
3. Reinstall SH3
4. If your SH3 did not come with patch v1.4b already included, install patch v1.4b. Ensure you install the patch that corresponds to your copy of SH3 (Download/DVD/EMEA/US)
5. OPTIONAL: Copy and paste this "clean" install as a backup to avoid the need to follow steps 1-3 if your game becomes corrupt in future
6. Download theGWX.exe and the five .bin files. While there grab the v1.03 patch
7. Run GWX.exe and follow the installation prompts
8. Run GWX103.exe and follow the installation prompts
9. SH3 COMMANDER USERS: Download SH3Commander and download the GWX 1.02+ Cfg files for SH3 Commander and unzip the contents DIRECTLY into your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder.

what mods have people got installed alongside gwx as ive not played in a good few months? i seem to remember 2 in particular, 1 that made sub damage more realistic and another that improved on uboat sonar so that ships could be detected further away

Laffertytig, maybe you want to try Rubinis Stay Alert mod instead of nvdrifters (since its probably only for 1.02)?

BTW: will gwx 1.04 fix these guys on whale factory ship:

They are flying there since...uh...always

Not in my experience, but it also IMO doesn't do very realistic weather. The problem is caused partly by the fact that you always start out in calm weather and (with SH3 Weather enabled) there is a good chance that the calm weather will last a while. 95% of the time I can get to Scotland from Willy and the weather is still calm. That means tha early in the war I have an almost guaranteed deck gun turkey shoot at the start of any patrol by heading NE of Scapa Flow and circling around. For that reason alone, I uninstalled it.

here's the link to the original thread for the weather edit to any campaign ..this is a stock edit available with the original SH3 editor so should be entirely compatible with any campaign...it's tiny edit anyway so there "shouldn't" be any issue other than those mentioned in the discussion..hope it helps ....as mentioned in the thread because the sensors are affected by the weather (seastate primarily) changing weather does have a greater impact on gameplay and realism than first thought may suggest..quite asides from the obvious satorial pleasures of more rapidly and dramatic weather changes..
