If anything, I would like to see more of that, like in New Vegas.
Cool. I just broke down and purchased dawnguard a couple hours ago. Not sure when i'll get into skyrim again, but it will be soon. I've already got my mods resorted (most of them my own for low impact on the game).

Anywho, one thing that alot of modern rpg's are lacking is decisions and consequences. Your decisions should have consequences, both good and bad. Its part of what makes up a role playing game; choices. But choices, always have outcomes.

If you have a game where the outcome is the same regardless of the choices you made, well, it just lacks depth. I kinda like all the old fallout RPG's with the end game movie. All the major choices and actions you made have a direct effect on the end story of the game.

Yeah that's one thing I liked about the fallout endings, it gives you some insight on what happens to the people and factions. That was one of my biggest issues with the end of Mass Effect, it just kinda ends no real "and here is what happened".

Dragon Age Origins has choices, ive played this game 3x through and now doing it again this time playing through the Awakening expansion which will only be my 2x time. 3rd time through origins i tried to be the bad guy got to the ashes quest and offered to plant some blood once the ashes were found, then i found out because of that i didn't have to challenge the dragon compared to being the good guy. I hated taking him on. Plenty of choices where eveytime i played it something was different

But yea DAO is one of my best rpgs ok its like a movie slide show at times, still i got my monies worth out of it. DA 2 i never got round to playing but have read its very limited compared to Origins.

Back on topic:
Dawngaurd was buggy as hell, around 8 bugs with a glitch to go with it. falling through floors. Once i started again from scratch with a new char then i only came across one minor bug. Yeah well Bethsheda did say start from a fresh character. lol

I played with my character of 130 hours and had only some issues with people running into walls, guess I was lucky.

A little mod for anyone that wants to play as a vampire and still be in the Dawnguard ,(sort of Blade like, vampire hunting vampires!).
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22555
You have to have finished the Dawnguard story first before this works!

only bug I've had with Dawnguard was a mod conflict causing a huge lag spike when firing a crossbow ,got rid of the mod,(glowing crossbow bolts), and everythings been fine.

Someone over at Nexus forums called it few months back, he found mention of
Hearthfire from the code or something like that.

Looks like a nice DLC actually.

It looks like a smaller DLC along the lines of the 'house' DLCs for Oblivion, albeit with staffing and the ability to adopt children. Probably a really good home for a good guy-type warrior. I'll probably buy it. Of course, I am also a self-admitted Bethesda fanboy.

What does irk me is that it looks like yet another XBox exclusive for 30 days. New Vegas only had Dead Money as an exclusive; the other three DLCs were released simultaneously. I was hoping that Skyrim would follow suit.

I can't say im excited about that DLC. Play house in skyrim? Ehh, what about something that expands the lore or storyline, or other areas previously untouched? Nope, nothing cool like that, instead you get to play like a little girl in kindergarden and "play house".

Xbox kiddies can keep it as far as im concerned.

Oblivion had a whole bunch of house DLCs, but they also gave us Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. There's already been one heavy-content DLC, I'm sure there will be at least another. Dawnguard is probably Skyrim's KoTN, so I think that we'll get a bunch of small DLCs and then wrap things up with something the size of Shivering Isles or Point Lookout.

Some of the funnier remarks that I have read around the web are about the desire to have the new DLC be more like Operation Anchorage in size and scope. I'll bet a large number of those people were griping about that when it came out too.

I'm too lazy to pull the source, but the first two DLC will be 360 exclusives. The third, and any after should be released on all consoles around the same time(well PC and 360 anyways, given Beth's track record for PS3). As someone who is still waiting for Dawnguard and thinks Todd Howard and Peter Hines are pricks, I don't really care for Bethesda at the moment.

Also, if this is the last 'Exclusive' dlc, be glad it's something minor as houses and not a continuation of the story, or full DLC like that.

Honestly, Bethesda should give PS3 users a discount or a some added bonus to make up for the fact that we probably wont see Dawnguard until after the PC has Heartfire. Before anyone argues about this, think about the fact that when PC users get a game later than console, they usually get added perks in the form of free DLC, or extra content.

Also, my dislike for Bethesda has put me in an interesting position, as I am excited for Dishonored.
