Indian Naval Flag Ensign

Does anybody know why we still use the historically inaccurate Indian naval flag ensign in SH4 on the recognition manual for other countries flags?

The Indian flag ensign was not adopted by the Indian Navy until 1947 after India had gained its independence from Britain. Why it is there on a World War II recognition manual dated from 1942? I don't know. The manual is dated from 1941-1942 ONI, Office of Naval Intelligence.

It tends to say "ONI" on the German side, which is rather strange because ONI is American on the Allied side when it should say BdU Axis side and all the Kriegsmarine officialdom and all that stuff. I don't know why this is, but if there is a way to fix it and include it in other mods, that would be great.

This is what the Indian flag ensign of the British Colonial period looks like.

Whether or not they changed this for "poitiical correctness" purposes I will never know, but if they did, I'll go the roof. We aren't here to satisify whether ethnic groupss are offended, we're here for historical accuracy. (no offense) If we wanted to do that, we'd go on Daily Kos or Huffington Post or some crap. (No offense to anyone out there) Besides, I'd doubt the Indians would care a whole lot because it was so long ago in World War II and I'd doubt they'd play this game. I'm sorry if haven't acknowledged anyone from India playing this game. If you play the game, that's just great, we need the help of every man regardless of race or color. Which is fine by me.

This is the Naval Jack on the Indian Navy presumably including merchant ships. This naval jack was flown on merchant ships. Naval jacks were flown on merchant ships as you all know. So let's include this on the Indian Merchant ships and Warships shall we? It would be great

I don't why we keep forgetting to include the Indian Naval Jack. I would be a great addition to the game I think. I don't why we forget this, but we're all about historical accuracy and so am I so let's do it. It should be included in all mods. It would be nice though.

Sounds like another job submission for the mods department.

There used to a guy from India....Vinay....who posted regularly on this forum. But he hasn't been in for a while.
