This is what happens when you start the game with KSD and then you get a crash to desktop . Then thinking the game has stopped but its still running because I didn't notice the SH5 in the taskbar . Then I panicked and restarted the game from the ubilauncher and loaded a save .

sobers mega mod VIIB campaign start mod

The campaign now starts with the VIIB so that I could disable the Fuel/battery hud from the GUI .
Use the sub gauges to check your Fuel/battery/CO2 status .
Battery gauge /gauges .

Fuel

CO2

Compressed air gauge maybe ?

Default compressed air gauges

Hi Sober!

The compressed air gauges work perfectly.

This is my version of battery gauges because the needles are too dark, I have tried changing the needle color, but I did not succeed so I've inverted the background color. I do not know if this change is historically correct, however this little mod is available.
All the credits to outstandig work of SteelViking!

I tried to get away from SH3/4 type of play and make SH5 more about interacting with the crew/gauges . No teleporting either . No pilot to guide you to and from ports . You start with a Type VIIB .

Default Ship blocking Lorient

Greetings Sober and everyone,

Loaded with your MOD soup I am returning to Lorient from my first patrol (Happy times) with barely three sinkings to my credit and to my surprise I have found a ship docked across the harbor entrance blocking it completely . I can end my patrol without docking but I am unable to continue with my next assignment because I can't go through this obstacle .
Is there a way around this? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi JC
Western Approaches does not start until 1st October 1941.
If you are trying to dock before that date then you will not see it to request it.

Default Lorient blocked

Thanks Peter,

In fact the date is august 14 1940. Instead of docking, I did a refit, turned around and went on with my patrol. I'll wait until the date you suggest before docking at Lorient and see if they've taken away that ship and cleared the harbor entrance .
