We knew that about Trump for say ... 30 years. No surprise. Comey was the top law enforcement officer in the USA. Appointed by a President. Can we expect a little more? Or should he descend to Trump's level?

If Comey had not responded in any way and let the current investigations play out, he could have possibly been vindicated. Not anymore. The more Comey talks, the more it sounds like a defense argument. About what?

I guess there comes a time in some man's life, especially when you had a special job of some responsibility, where you do not want to take boasting and insults from some incompetent orange clown sudenly popping up before your nose.

I'm not defending Trump. Don't make it about Trump. I did my best not to make it about Trump. Did either of you read the article by Geraghty? Long time former FBI agents with good reputations are saying Comey is making a mistake. What do you think of that?

For the average nobody important person like me, Comey looked innocent, so if his book proves different it could hurt the image of the FBI even more.

Unless he's thinking about his money a book released before Mueller's investigation is released to the public is his motivation.

I think that could be his reason more than just getting even for Trumps firing him.

You know what I find funny about those chemical attacks? "Assad" is always attacking with gas when he has already won and seems to target civilians only. The number of fatalities in those attacks is also no where near what they were when Saddam gassed the Kurds back then.... I find it funny that everyone is instantly blaming Assad even though he has nothing to win but everything to lose by doing that while his enemies have plenty to gain and only lose a handful of civilians. Just saying.

So.. who has the most advantage, of blaming Assad?

I get a bit confused, rebels fighting each other, and against the IS, the US and Russia helping some certain rebel groups (but not all), Turkey attacking Kurds on syrian soil calling them rebels while financing the IS as long as it fights the Kurds and buying oil from them, the IS providing Erdoghan's own oil companies with crude, Iraq acting on syrian ground against the IS and Iran, and Iran having its own agenda. Not to forget Israel trying to destroy every nerve gas plant.

All producing a lot of fog and desinformation.

And the media are happy to report what.. who tells them?

I agree 100%

Another thing is that Russia/Assad are always blamed instantly, yet a week later everyone are still talking about how it is important to get to the area to examine what gas was used and who used it.
