Default St. Louis Blues win the Stanley cup for the first time.

I don't know how many of you watched game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals but it was an epic battle. The St. Louis Blues won game 7 by 4-1 over the Boston Bruins.. The Blues defense stymied the Bruins until the the last minutes of the third period. This series was also marked by great goal tending on both teams. Both the Bruins and Blues played to a stalemate before last night showing great skill and drive to get to game 7.

Both teams played through injuries and adversity to get to the final dance. Both teams were truly the best of their conference and the Bruins could just as easily been the Stanley cup winner.

The St. Louis Blues are one of 6 expansion teams added in 1967. This is also their first Stanley cup win.

Congratulations to the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins for a great season.
