Default Iceberg werdness.

I read an old thread highlighting that the icebergs in DW are real weird when they are used. They are fine in Sub Command, but in DW they have a habit of auto-destructing and almost never show up on HF sonar as opposed to the fact they work fine in the predecessor game. Has any investigation gone into why the DW engine has such a time dealing with icebergs? Would not a comparison of Sub Command and DW code show what the problem in rendering and handling is?

Have you checked the RA mod? I briefly remember that they have changed sth in this area (at least I think I have read it )...

...anyways I'd also be interested in findings here, since next week I'm planning to continue with my work on the 'Ice station zebra' scenario.

I am using LWAMI. I do not know if RA has dealt with the issue.
