Changing Contacts.cfg
Can I change the Contact Settings in the Data/Cfg/Contcts.cfg file to lessen the amount contacts of on the Nav Map and more importantly reduce the annoying contact messages and flashing message box frequencies? Most of the convoy and task force contacts are way too far from my location and, honestly, I do not want to be bothered knowing about them.
The 2 lines in Contacts.cfg that I am looking at for possible changes are Display Range To Opportunity Radio Contacts=500 and Display Range For Important Radio Contacts=3500. Maybe reducing these "distances" by 1/2 or 2/3 may resolve the messages issue(s) that I mentioned above. Also, I don't know what the "Decay Time" lines do either. Can these / should these lines be changed too?? Thanks for any help and guidance. I know that I have to back-up and save the original file before and changes are made (the old just-in-case situation!! lol). Salute!! |

ParaB's Fewer Radio Contacts mod is in the download section somewhere, aha I found it, have a look at it and if you don't like it then you can mod it to your own taste.
