Default Is their a German Language Patch?

Is their a Patch that will change the "Yes Sir" to "Ja Vol" for Sh4 U-Boat Missions. Also, just curious, what is the "Thermal Layer" that you pass while diving?

Thanks

thermal layer is where the warm surface water meets the cold layer of deep water, the temperature and salinity changes so it has a distortion effect like a camoflage screen on the sonar reflection so it sort of blurrs your location so they only know about where you are but cant pinpoint you.

I believe this is the latest German language pack available: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...9&postcount=95

Enable this mod last via JSGME when you play the U Boat campaign, and disable it when you want to resume a US Fleetboat campaign.

try english first - 'there' - only joking - honest

The thermal layer has saved my skin on many an occasion. If I have to crash dive, or dive when spotted, what I do is dive and turn at speed; once under the thermal layer, I reverse the turn, reduce speed to slow, and the destroyer carries on on my original course.

Does Exclusive's German Gold version of SH4 include an all German version (incl. mission reports, commands, help files, etc.)? EDIT: If I recall correctly, SH3 was censored (no nazi-flags, etc.); is that also the case with the German version of SH4?

There's a Nazi flag in the office, but you cant see much of the swastica.

One of the mods I installed has one on the map, not sure which one. Everytime I see it I have to remind myself there isn't a Buddist temple on the reverse side of the map.

Germans are kinda.... offended by 3rd Reich Symbols, especially the swastika. Showing these is much worse than nudity or alcohol. So dont expect it.

If you want the most historically acurate "flair" try Op. Monsun (SH3 revived, simply said, but awesomely done). Ships flags are showing the swastika there.
RUIM puts Nazi-symbols in your crews uniforms (install the eyepatch on top of it). For german sounds try Spaxx and Poulsen on top of that. Thats almost better than Highschool-german-lessions.
BTW, germans say "Jawohl (Herr Kaleun)".
