Technical Help with the 4giga patch

Salute to all!
I just have a complete blank....

I have been trying to install the "4giga-patch in my game and It just does not work!!
Do I have to put the patch.exe in my game folder beffore I run or can it be in another folder??
Sorry for this stupid question...old age I suppose

dug around on SubSim and found this from years ago. Hope it helps.

1. unzip the zip file.
2. Highlight the 4gb patch. R. click and copy.
3. paste it too your SH3 main game folder.
4. Open the patch and set the browser to your main game folder which might
be something like this C:\Games\SH3.
5. The wizard should locate your SH3.exe and then patch it.Once patched that
is it.

if your doing it and it's not working, then sorry, I'm at a loss. I myself use H.Sie hard code patch and the the 4gb patch is included, so It's been along time since I've done this.
