Default How do I manually install SH4 uboat missions?

Hello again,

I have SH4 uboat missions and my DVD player will NOT read it.
The DVD just spins around and then stops.

Does anyone know how to manually install this uboat mission
add on from Ubisoft?

Viele Danke,

Thank God for subsims!

Not sure. I have the Gold edition, with UBM as part of the package. I've never had a disc do that before.

Only thing I can think of is give it a good cleaning and try again.

Sorry.

it cant be done, it has to load from the disk or from the exe download

you might fix it if you do this:

disks that have trouble being read can often be saved by rubbing and polishing them with automotive wax to remove scratches and make them readable again.

once you get it working copy the disk to a thumb drive or another disk as a backup so you dont lose it again because the wax will wear off and one day it may no longer restore it.

also newegg.com is selling the sh4 gold edition with ubm ad-on for $10 and free shipping so you could just get that.

Default Cleaning

I usually take a soft tissue and wipe it with rubbing alcohol. Insert disk into drive, if it does not start loading within a minute while it is searching for the exe. go to my computer and right click on the drive it is in and select "search", and it will pop up the list of files. Browse down and look for the "application" file is is usuall the largest in size and always has a "pretty looking icon" and double click it and Voila. Give it some time to do its thing. Depending on your computer it could take up to a minute..........
You will get lots of advice, try 'em all you will not hurt a thing.....
