My wife's BMW gives the low tyre pressure warning so often that it wouldn't even cross my mind to actually check the tires anymore..

It's like a crying wolf effect! Hopefully you didn't lose all your sheep.

Just had that with a new Ford I purchased a fortnight ago....reset the tyre pressure system daily for nearly a week to no avail....eventually looked at the tyres and found a screw in the tread

Which one, Hubba hubba or the boring one?

Went to the super market today full of geriatrics, must be geriatric day today. Anyway it was dreadful just like all the rest and I'm so glad that is over for another week.

having an enjoyable rainy day, coffee, the Wall Street Journal and watching one my favorite U boat movies...Muphy's War with Peter O'Toole! the Grummam "Duck"J2F arial footage sequences are noteworthy. THE UBOAT WAS ACTUALLY THE BALEO CLASS USS TILEFISH SS-307, WHICH, AFTER IT'S DECOMMISSIONING, HAD BEEN SOLD TO THE VENEZUALEAN NAVY AS AVR S-11 CARITE-AND CANNIBLIZED FOR PARTS AFTER 16 YEARS OF SERVICE WHERE SCENES WERE FILMED IN THE ORINOCO RIVER. For the role, she was modified by the addition of a "cigarette deck" aft of her sail and was painted in a "dazzle" camouflage pattern. THE 'DUCK' WAS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR TYPE OR MARKINGS BUT WAS READILY AVAILABLE...SUCH IS THE NATURE OF POETIC LICENSE IN CINEMA. THE ACTUAL RESTORED MOVIE PLANE IS CURRENTLY ON DISPLAY AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE U.S. AIRFORCE IN OHIO

Wondering if and when I get a pay rise, I'm not expecting a big rise that is for sure. Back to work Friday for my second stint, could be a late one.

You'll probably get the 38 pence per hour NMW rise.
