Hi LGN1,

no, there will not be a seperate download of these ships. For the "Flower Corvette" and the "NOM Ranger", you do not need any file from the folder "Library".

For all other four ships it is better to install all files from the folder "Library".

Hi privateer, hi mad,

"kovall" from the russian "Sukhoi-Forum" was faster. He converted the "HMS Ark Royal" from SH5 to SH3.




Sad to say that there is no "ReadMe" inside. But he is using privateers "GR2-Extractor"-tool and my "CV-plans.dat/zon" i made for our friend "VonDos".

unfortunately I do not speak English. write "Read me" is a real headache for me. But all the units converted by me from sh5 I used privateers "GR2-Extractor" and thanks him for it.
Also I used Fulmar (converted by "Rovi") correcting zon-file

It needs a little skin touch-up but otherwise she looks great. This ship really deserves it's own 3d model.

Yes, kovall is pretty quick on the conversions.
I also understand his problem with doing 'readme' inclusions.
He and I have exchanged PM's and he's OK in my eyes.

Hi privateer,

i agree. But a "ReadMe" will help our friends who are collecting MODs on their FTP-server to identify the modder who made this mod - and keep the section "unkown modder" very small (i mean "plissken04" for example).

Yes, exactly. Very hard time with writing (reading of the text is not a problem for me). But after I wrote something I always doubt that wrote it correctly. so I would be glad if someone would write "Read me" for me (instead of me ?)

Default Unsinkable Ark Royal

You really did a great job when converting this model, but ...

I'm not able to sink her!! I hit 3 times in the back at 7m depth and no results.
Further I did'nt recognize any hit textures on the ship, maybe this explains why she is not going down.

I think some little changes will fix this problem. Can anyone do this, because I'm not in a position to do.

Hmmm... It is very strange. Are You talking about Ark Royal ? I sunk it by two torpedos in original version SH3. But GWX (and others modes) uses a different Zone.cfg. I think it is only reason

The zone.cfg in GWX should not cause that much difference.
Failure to show damage textures is a .val issue.

You need to list all mods installed.

List of my relevant mods for units in folder 'sea':
GWX 3.0 Gold
GWX 3 Wilhemshafen,St Naz,Schluese and xtra ships V6
Extras for the Wilhelmshaven campaign v2.4c
LifeBoats&Debris_v4
WB_'s .mis file for kovall_'s HMS Ark Royal

The 2nd and 3rd mod don't change values for the Ark Royal and WB's mod uses same data for the Ark Royal as kovall.

Maybe that GWX entries are different than sh3 vanilla version and I think that Debris mod could cause a problem too.
But I see no reason for missing damage textures. What I found is that there are no '2DCompartments' entries in the NCV_Ark_Royal.cfg. Any other sea unit has these entries.
I can live with missing textures but I want to SINK her. Any ideas for this problem?
