Hello Irish...,
thank you very much, that is exactly I was looking for. Now I understand why the old links don't work no more.

Default Beginning of the war

Has anyone ever went to Poland at the beginning of the war & is there any action there then?

I visited the Danzig region during testing for one of our builds some time ago. Yes. The Polish navy guarding the area will try to sink you.

Default Question about additional ships

I tried some of the links of the download section of this site but the packages are not there.
I've never done this but are the downloadable ships for GWX included in the GWX campaign once downloaded? I've never dnld any thinking they were just for mission makers and not for inclusion.

It depends on whether the ships are a mod or simply a 'bolt on'.

I have both and script those in I need to personally.

Yes, and it's quite fun. I was anchored in Danzig just for fun, when I heard shooting. A Polish destroyer and two gunboats were mounting an attack, and an anchored German destroyer made mincemeat of them. First he sank the Polish DD and then trashed both gunboats, all while still anchored. One of the gunboats sank just as I got there. I finished off the second one and was given credit for the kill. I then anchored next to the destroyer for the night and wrote in my log book that the DD's captain had my officers and me to dinner and was kind enough to radio in my help.

All-in-all a fun sight to see and participate in.

Sailor Steve, Is there enough ships & or convoys there to use my torpedos & then go back to base to make it worth wild going there.?

Not that I saw, but then I didn't stick around long. There were ships and convoys in older versions, so I would think they're still there and I just missed them.

Here's an image of the traffic in September 39 (Danzig is slightly below centre of image)....not enough activity IMO to warrant sniffing around for long unless you like to go harbour raiding because that is where the majority of units are.

Default Tweaking GWX3

Does anyone out there know how to tweak some of the GWX3 settings? In particular, I'd like to get rid of all that unnecessary radio chat (how many times have I told my W/T operator that I only want to be woken from my bunk if the message is for my own U-Boat?), re-instate wake lines on the map, and cut down on the number of air & naval traffic at friendly bases.
