Very nice, Maddy. In fact, it looks terrific. Of, course, the inevitable question. Any idea when you might release FOTRS 2.0 for us avid followers.

Default Awesome!

That was spactaculer Maddy! The effects and ships and enviroment are top notch. I would only correct one thing. I think the splashes for the main guns should be taller. Other than that it is a work of art!

Default Maddy.

If you take a look at pictures of the Battle of Leyte Gulf. In particular the pictures of the Gambier Bay during that fight. You will see what I mean about the shell splashes from the Battlewagon guns. They are emmence. Twice as high as the ship in the pictures. I think buy changing that it would be a real nice addition.

Edit #1 Actually the majority of the splashes seen in the photos seem to come from the CA Chokai. That is the particular cruiser credited with the sinking of the Gambier Bay. So if those are splashes from 8 inchers than I can just imagine what a splash from a 14, 16 or 18 inch shell would be like.

Thanks Mate for this nice informations.
I worked it out and it makes you scary when those shells comes down near your boat.

Pictures of that will follow.

Very impressive work there! I currently use RFB, and would love to try this mod. Is there a RSRD version compatible with this mod, or does this mod tweak the ship traffic itself?

Hello Captains,

many questions i have to answer.

FOTRS V2.0 is now in a beta-state but in this moment only the german-language-version for SH4 V1.4.

The time for release....................... thats a problem, there is so much work for me, cant tell you a real date.
Sorry for that.

The mod is not compatible with RFB-Campaign cause FOTRS tweaks the traffic and the Roster and FOTRS got over 50 units more in Roster.

Nearly all historic battles can be scripted cause both nations got nearly their complete fleet.
You will have all IJN Destroyer-Classes and Escorts same to the US-Navy.

It would be very nice when i got help from the campaign-specialists to write an new campaign including all historical battles.
The campaign is the last thing that should be done but i only got 2 hands and one brain....................
FOTRS actual size is 1,66 GB and it grows up to 2 GB.

Regards

Maddy

In order to form more perfect shell splashes from the Battlewagon´s guns you can see here the result in another video.

I think its ok so with the splashes ?

Regards

Maddy

It all looks pretty good to me. I especially like the splashes and the smoke. The only thing I would change is the muzzle flashes. The size and volume seem right, but they last too long. When you are looking at a BB from a distance it is hard to tell whether it is firing, or is being hit.
