Most outragous moment
What is yours.
Me thinks it is to much when you can take on a Bouge class with five escorts and end up sinking them all. Or how fun it has been leaving Bergen on my last three missions I have been caught in an air raid. Good thing for me I have lived through them all. Grant |

When I'm caught in an air raid and I order a crash dive... inside a firendly harbour.
Or fire a stern torpedo while aiming for a target infront of the boat And the time I fell asleep while patroling and crashed into Canada I'll ad more as soon as they happen |

When I crashed dived in a XXI and in less than 5 minutes I was at 270 meters, crushing my hull instantly .
In the middle of a storm with poor visibility I saw no less than 500m away a large merchant, ordered hard to port and barely made it without crashing into her. Having the perfect angle to sink a battleship but I forgot to turn on the auto targeting in the solution screen, I still had the data from my last attack which ended in wasting a precious torpedo and alerting the ship :rotfl:

I put a torpedo into a DD that was heading straight towards me while on the surface. Then I crash dove but had too much damage so I went right to the bottom. I settled on the bottom about 100 meters down and began to repair everything.
Next thing I know the event camera came up showing the sinking DD I had got before. I watched it go down and then thought...OH GOD what are the odds of it landing on me. Yup, It landed right on top of me, killing us all like a bug being stepped on. The death scene that came up showed me at the bottom of the ocean with a ship parked on top of me. I wish I could have taken a picture.

A couple of times the sail/bridge has been so damaged by D/C'ing that when surfacing it is not possible to get out of the boat - none of the scopes working, neither. Repairs can not be executed. What to do then...? Except exiting the mission or returning to base by map navigation......... |

crack up
I remember once I was on submerged looking through the scope and a TF with a Southampton and Dido appeared right in front of me during a terrible storm.
One moment I am trying to tell how the bad the weather is and the next a bloody cruiser is coming in. INSTEAD of hitting C I hit S and up to the surface I came nomatter how hard I pushed C. Mind you it looked funny in one respect the British had a heck of a time hitting me but the Dido coming was the end of me. Grant |

i had my rudders and one propellor blown off inside the firth of forth (in type II) while facing in towards Edinburgh. I had to reverse all the way to Denmark, using only up and down to perform evasions!
