I don't own Silent Hunter IV, yet, as I've been waiting for it to be brought up to speed.

I own the Silent Hunter series and probably every other sub sim ever released!

Just like a lot of other people here, I bought Silent Hunter III the day it was released!!
I bought it not just because of my attraction to U-Boat sims, but also to show support the genre and the game series.

Silent Hunter III still needs another patch to make her complete but Ubi has never bothered to finish it, prefering to move on to something new, so as to get more of our hard earned money.
Thus, leaving all us loyal customers high and dry!

I've been wanting to get Silent Hunter IV since before it's release, but I've held off on it, until it gets fixed.

If it doesn't get fixed, l will have no problem waiting and buying it from the cheap bin, or just not buy it at all!

After the problems with so many incomplete games and sims last few years, I've come to the conclusion that...

I'm not buying incomplete/broken sims or games anymore!!

If Ubi wants my money, they're gonna hafta fix Silent Hunter IV.

I have three days left on my ban...

At Ubisoft.com for a drunken rant about how badly this game sucks! Repair teams don't repair, Course plots cannot be drawn on the map, you have to make little check marks with the pencil, even after switching targets, the TDC sometimes sends your next torp to your last target... I could go on and on, but just fix the damn game! Using your loyal customer base as your paying(!) beta testers is shameful. Shame on you, Ubisoft!

Default Keep them duct taped to their seats

Count me in on getting that next patch. I have not bought the game but have watched this whole unfortunate drama unfold. They fix it, I will buy it, plain and simple.
SHIII was good when it was released, but it needed some work and it was this community who made it happened after UBISOFT abandoned it.
I totally support modding sims, I just think it should not fall on our shoulders to FIX their progams. I will now step off my soapbox. Happy Hunting, God's speed.....

Full support for the comments made. SHIV was at the top of my list of sims that I was really looking forward to. Now it isn't even on that list because I know that I couldn't enjoy it with the bugs it still has. Such a shame, because SHIII as it now stands is a masterpiece and shows clearly where SHIV could go.

Ditto to all. We need Patch 1.3, with all fixes detailed by Neal.

I agree we need a patch or even 2, I have quit playing until this is resolved and I have bought 2 copies of the game. What a shame.

Due to a number of problems I have actually gone back to SH3 for the time being. I am really hoping a third patch will be released, otherwise SH4 will always have that "unfinished" label for me.

Default Modders 1 - Ubisoft nil

I have to say that the only reason I pulled the game out from the back of my desk (after throwing it there in disgust at the number of bugs that came to light in just 1 hours game time) was the modders who put time and effort into the game, for the pleasure it gave themselves and other users. Modders 1

Even so we desperatley need patch 3. Ubisoft Nil

Default Another patch is needed

I keep having some issues with SH4 that a patch should be able to fix.

Please someone fix Silent Hunter 4 so that it runs the way it should run.

Default The Three Stooges at UBI

The project managers must either be the Marx Brothers or the Three stooges! First they make a game that requires a modern gaming machine that probably only 0.01% of the computers can play, thereby cutting out a large percentage of the market; and then they issue an incomplete game and apparently refuse to fix it.
